I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
